One More Photo...

Mad Max has been telling me how unhappy he is that he wasn't in the recent photo I posted of Maddie and Riley. So, to keep peace in the family, may I present Mad Max:

He's on his momma's unmade bed, of course.

Aw, he's a pretty kitty! Gotta keep those cats happy, ya know. ;-)

DesLily -

He really is one of the prettiest cats I've ever seen, not that I'm bragging. I had nothing to do with it, after all.

Megan -

Especially this goofball! He wouldn't let me sleep otherwise.

I wish he and Samantha could play together. I've just fallen like crazy for my kitty, who knew?! (She's sitting on my mouse, literally, right now as I try to leave a comment.)

Well, if you ask, I will still say I'm not a cat person, in spite of the fact that I now have two of them.

Max and Maddie wrestle and chase each other around like crazy. They're pretty funny to watch. That's my way of saying that I think he'd play very well with Samatha. Have you thought of getting another cat? They do provide so much company for each other...

They like to get on those unmade beds just so you can't straighten things out. Such a pretty beastie! I read your other comments. I miss having two kitties, even though ours didn't get along at all. If one was being contrary, you could always go off and find the other cat. Someone was bound to love you up.

Mad Max is very lovely (his markings, although a little lighter, remind me of Maggie's). If my cat was allowed, she'd probably spend all day on the unmade bed. Instead she goes for the crumpled up blankets on the couch. I guess it's all about nesting.

Well, I'm not overly big on making my bed anyway. The best I do is 'straighten' it out. I'm lucky that Maddie and Max do get along so well. Sorta makes up for the fact that Riley still, at times, doesn't want Max moving anywhere in the house.

Trish -

Thanks. He really is a beautiful cat. His other favorite place to be is beneath the blanket I have on my 'old' couch. I've had to warn people to check before they sit down.

Will you believe that we've added another kitty to our family this weekend? She's a gray and white angora, and we're debating her name. I say "Minou" which is French for kitty; my son's girlfriend said that's like calling your cat "Cat". True enough, but how many people are literate in French in the US? Anyway, I've SO become a cat person. Who knew, at this late stage in life? :)

Cool! And I like the name. Of course, my family once had a cat named... Cat. Go figure. We also had a male dog named 'She-She'.

I'm not willing to admit I'm a cat person - they will never be my first choice of an animal; that will always be a dog - but I do enjoy my goofballs.

How are the new roomies getting along?

Um, not. They are taking quite a long time to get acquainted. Currently, we're keeping Minou in the bathroom/master bedroom as a "safe house". She's been quite traumatized, I believe, and I want her to feel at home before she's let completely free. It's been a LONG weekend.

And I will definitely love dogs best. They're usually so easy going and far less conceited.
