And...here we go!
1. Disappointment is not the end of the world.
2. Sitting here, listening to the sound of rain falling, I curl up with a good book.
3. Watermelon tastes so good!
4. Sometimes, putting others first is the only way to get things done.
5. Lake Superior is breathtaking, really.
6. Well, maybe there is a reason for all this drama. I doubt it, but you never know.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to getting projects done at work, tomorrow my plans include sleeping late and watching the Tigers and Sunday, I want to sleep more than four hours!

#2 sounds wonderful!
I love the flavor of watermelon, but there's something about the texture...
Happy weekend! :)

Thanks! Rain and reading sure seem to go together!
Have a good weekend.

#2 is relaxing! thanks for visiting mine too! :)
Ooohh I do love watermelon!!! Disappointment builds character! LOL. Have a good weekend!
Great answers! Sweet, juicey, fresh watermelon is one of my weaknesses.
Oh I love a good sweet watermelon. Yum!!!

reading while it rains down here helps me forget how scared I am of the lightening happening very close by!
My mouth is watering at the thought of a good watermelon. Since Scott is allergic to fruits and vegetables, I've never actually bought one. I stick to easy fruit like berries that I can easily take to work and snack on.
Disappointment is not the end of the world--such a great thing to remember, even if sometimes it's hard.
Hope you're having a great weekend, CJ!
Did you see any of the games yesterday? Whew...last nights was a nail biter but I am so glad they are now 2 in front of Chicago. Go Tigers!
Thanks everyone for dropping by.

You and my dog would be a perfect match. I had to get up in the middle of the night last night (2:30 a.m.) to sit with her because of the thunderstorm. Then she woke me up again at 6-ish.

You could always buy those precut containers of watermelon. Yes, there a bit pricey but they're perfect for taking to work. I would hate to be allergic to fruits and vegetables! What does the poor boy eat instead?

I was able to watch the beginning of the first game before I went to work and then, when I got up to sit with my dog (don't laugh too much) I watched the rebroadcast of the last three innings of the second game.
They're driving me nuts this year with the way they waste such amazing pitching! Hopefully they'll start hitting and keeping hitting soon!

Canned stuff. He can eat fruits and veggies as long as they've been processed or thoroughly cooked. Just not the same, though! He has what's called Oral Allergy Syndrome. No fun!
I really enjoyed Lake Superior the one time I saw it. Got to take a ferry, so wonderful. Have a good weekend.
I so agree with you about disappointment not being the end of the world, although at the time it feels fairly crushing; Lake Superior is gorgeous. It's my favorite of the Great Lakes probably because it's so cool (temperature wise) and removed from the chaos surrounding Lake Michigan (Chicago). If that makes sense. ;)
I'm back to tell you that the Japanese Literature Challenge 3 has started, and I'm so hoping you'll join again this year. It wouldn't be the same without you. :(

I've been thinking about it and you're sweet to say that.
