Sunday NaNo News, Part 4
Wow.
This month is flying by. Thursday is Thanksgiving here in America. My niece will be home Tuesday for the long weekend and I'm looking forward to seeing her. Hopefully it'll be more than the few minutes we seem to have together lately. I miss her a lot.
NaNo wise, things are going tremendously well. In fact, tonight while in the shower, the ending for my story became perfectly clear. Right down to the last line. Now, all I have to do is get there.
My total as of earlier this evening was 42,691 words. I'm liking the story a great deal but I'm still in that stage where I'm not entirely sure I've gotten it right. Is my MC being too wishy-washy? What's up with the love of her life? Is he a good guy or delusional? And where the heck did the bad guy go and for what reason? He's up to something... Wish I knew what.
The final week ought to be interesting.

That's cool. I wish mine were coming along so well. I'm not even sure anything I've written is salvagable. My original idea has so much potential but I may have killed it along the way, in which case I will simply back up and start at the beginning. I definitely see the value of planning out the story before writing it. But it's the fun and the challenge that I'm doing it for. That and to hear Grandma say how proud she is of me. :)
wow, i'm glad to hear that things have been going well (excluding the mishaps) with the writing and that you will be having a truly good holiday coming up!!
don't eat too much and congrats on your new story already!

I've always thought that anyone who attempts NaNo is a winner just for the attempt. You're doing well and editing is always a good thing. Maybe you'll keep more of it than you think you will.

Thanks. It's been a good month but I've got to admit I'm looking forward to the end. I'll keep writing - I always write - but I won't miss the "I have to write" feeling.
