So, as DesLily pointed out, I've gone a bit quiet in the last few weeks. I guess not much to say. Well, not much to say here. I've had a lot to say over on my political blog and that's where my focus has been.
But, I can officially say it is Spring!
We burned the snowman on Monday to prove it. It was originally scheduled to be torched on Friday, the 19th but high winds and the fire department decreed otherwise.
Frosty went up in flames a day late instead of a couple of days early. I'm just glad the sucker burned!
Now, of course, we've hit a cold spell - it's 15F right now and yesterday we had 40 mph wind gusts.
So goes Spring in the UP of Michigan.
The reading is going very well and I have a review I'm dying to do. I hope to get to it this weekend.

ah yes, I remember when Frosty was burned last year (via your blog). Sorry you're in the teens, though! We actually had snow in Dallas last weekend, so I guess the weather is just going crazy (snow between two 70 degree weeks).

The university has been doing it for 40 years and the one year in there that we didn't torch Frosty we literally didn't have a summer. It never got out of the
60's all summer!

I've changed it twice now in the last little bit so thanks. I'm liking this verison. It was in the high 40's here today and I managed to motivate myself to take Riley for a walk. We both enjoyed it. And 70 in March? No thanks!

We were having some nice weather and it got my hopes up for spring, but then it got cold. :(

We're doing the incredibly nice (it was over 70 the other day) and then cold (in the 30's) but that's spring here.
Snow is all gone, my Crocus are blooming and my yard is green on the 4th of April. I cannot complain!
