For the sky watchers out there...
Interesting things in the sky above us...
Monday night/Tuesday morning will bring us a full lunar eclipse, which should be visible throughout the nation.
It will also bring us an event that hasn't happened in 456 years.
The joining of a lunar eclipse and the Winter Solstice, the shortest day of the year.
According to NASA, the last time the two celestial events happened at the same time was in AD 1554.
Big events at the time?
Lady Jane Grey was beheaded for treason that year, while Princess Elizabeth was imprisoned in the Tower of London. Mary of Guise — the mother of Mary, Queen of Scots — became regent of Scotland.
Let's hope no one loses their heads this time around...
But they don't call it lunacy for nothing.

Hopefully it will be a bit on the dull side here.
We have a track record of being cloudy during times like this so I hope you can get a look at it!

I sure hope you get to see it, too, Pat.
Oh, and btw, the photo isn't mine. I got it from a website about the eclipse...
